Even though I'm happily married, I don't wear my diamond ring any more. - Net - Indir

Even though I’m happily married, I don’t wear my diamond ring any more.

When my husband proposed to me, he gave me a stunning ring with a little diamond from his mother’s original engagement ring. It had a special place in my heart because of its history and because it symbolized a commitment we were making together.

But, to be honest, the diamond ring never seemed completely at ease on my finger.

It didn’t feel like “me” at all.

To be honest, I’ve never been a big fan of diamonds, and I disagree with the notion that diamonds are a girl’s best friend. That is why I no longer wear my original wedding band and instead choose for one set with turquoise, my favorite stone.

Unusual engagement rings are becoming more trendy. Many individuals desire to locate a ring that is both distinctive to them and affordable.

These rings might be plain or ornate, antique or contemporary. Some are embellished with pearls, jewels, or small diamonds, while others stand alone as a basic band.

There are no rules, and that is what I eventually determined. After all, I’m the one who wears my ring every day, therefore I don’t care what other people think!

Despite what smart marketing efforts would have you think, not everyone is interested about the size — or even the presence — of the diamond on their ring finger when they become engaged.

The amount of money spent on a ring is in no way indicative of a marriage’s success.

In the early years of our marriage, my husband often asked if I wanted a larger diamond, and I know he would have made the expenditure if I had requested it, but it was never something I wanted.

What I truly wanted was a ring with a large piece of turquoise that was unique to me.

So, on our ten-year anniversary, my husband and I traveled to Santa Fe, where I selected the precise stone I want and had a ring crafted to my specifications.

Part of me was hesitant to break with tradition, but what mattered most was how I felt about it and the commitment it represented to my spouse. The ring was also a reminder of a special vacation we had together to commemorate our ten-year anniversary.

My diamond ring is still in my possession, and it will always have a special place in my heart since it was given to me when my husband proposed to me.

I also don’t see anything wrong with someone wearing a massive diamond ring (or any other size). Do you think so? There are a number of lovely alternative engagement rings out there if you enjoy the notion of a non-traditional engagement ring or if you want to trade in the glitter for something unique to you.

The idea is that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to wearing an engagement or wedding band.

It only matters to you and your partner how you feel about it. After all, just because something is conventional does not mean it is superior to other options.
