In a 'vile and diabolical' attack on the Nigerian Catholic Church

On Sunday, gunmen opened fire during Mass at a Catholic church in Ondo state, Nigeria, killing dozens of people.

According to accounts, the assailants utilised explosives and firearms in their attack on St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, murdering more than 50 people.

The attackers are also said to have kidnapped the church's pastor, who is still missing.

The number of people killed or injured in the attack has yet to be determined by authorities.

The attack comes almost two months after 31 people were killed in a stampede at a Nigerian church fair in late March.

The church fair was supposed to be a charitable event where residents could "buy for free." Many people showed up as early as 5 a.m. to get a good location in line.

O museu é dedicado à preservação de espécies ameaçadas de extinção.
