Sonic employees flee from a big snake discovered beneath the fryer.

After discovering an intruder lying behind the deep fryer, workers at a Sonic fast-food restaurant bolted.

BRUNSWICK, Georgia – Workers in a Sonic fast-food kitchen cooking burgers and tater tots fled after seeing an intruder hidden behind the deep fryer.

Brunswick cops When Lt. Matthew Wilson arrived to investigate last Saturday, he found Sonic drive-in employees huddled in the parking lot.

They had described the assailant as brown with diamonds on its back over the phone.

"I could tell it was a ball python and not a rattlesnake when I saw it," Wilson told The Brunswick News.

Not only did he get rid of the enormous, non-venomous snake, but he also found it a new home with a family.
