In March, home prices increased by more than 20%.

According to the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Home Price Index, home prices nationwide were 20.6 percent higher in March 2021 than they were in March 2021.

In March, the Case-Shiller 10-city composite climbed 19.5 percent year over year, up from 18.7% in February.

 The 20-city composite witnessed a year-over-year growth of 21.2 percent, up from 20.3 percent the previous month.

According to Mortgage News Daily, the average rate on a 30-year fixed mortgage was 3.29 percent at the beginning of January and 4.67 percent at the end of March.

In March, increased mortgage rates had little effect on growing property values.
