Two male dolphins were spotted playing

A unusual meeting between Bolivian river dolphins and Beni anacondas was caught by researchers in Bolivia.

Two adult male dolphins held on to the snake and swam together while sexually aroused at one point.

The dolphins were most likely playing, according to the researchers, albeit many doubts remained.

Two Bolivian river dolphins were spotted swimming and playing in Bolivia's Tijamuchi River. The peculiar aspect?

They were carrying an apex predator, a Beni anaconda, in their mouths.

Researchers photographed and reported the uncommon encounter in August 2021 in a paper published this month in the journal Ecology.
