Uvalde police and the school district have stopped participating with the Texas investigation into the shooting.
Multiple law enforcement sources tell ABC News that the Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Independent School District police force
are no longer cooperating with the Texas Department of Public Safety's investigation into the Robb Elementary School massacre and the state's review of the law enforcement response.
Requests for response from ABC News were not immediately returned by the Uvalde police chief or a representative for the Uvalde Independent School District.
According to sources, the decision to stop cooperating came immediately after DPS Director Col. Steven McCraw addressed a news conference on Friday
, saying the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the wrong judgement" and against protocol.
"The Uvalde Police Department and Uvalde CISD Police have been cooperating with investigators," a representative for the Texas Department of Public Safety told ABC News.
